The last two #Lincolnshire route-marches of 2015

Tuesday… December 29th 2015, somewhat dramatic and changeable to say the least. Wonderful lanes for contemplation and plot-plottery.

AP1040827
A sky reminiscent of the clouds of Jupiter
AP1040830
Horse-drawn thing one way, clippetty clatter
AP1040852
Sheepies
AP1040851
Sheepies with flare
AP1040853
Horse-drawn thing back again the other way, clomp und clomp
AP1040855
Murder at the Gallop?

and then again, today’s expedition along the same lane… December 31st 2015, with a sun that couldn’t be bothered climbing very high in the sky.

AP1040860
Ditchwater. Ditches full to the brim of cold NATO coffee
AP1040861
Puddles… (I didn’t do it) and the bridge repair has not yet blended in
AP1040862
A low winter sun
AP1040864
New garage my arse, that’ll be a holiday-let before you can say “take the piss”
AP1040869
How the car _will_ enjoy that panoramic window!
AP1040870
Legs, akimbo. The Colossus of, ahem – roads. Country roads.
AP1040873
Slumbering tree, with field
AP1040872
Slumbering tree, with moon
AP1040878
Farmer chap, sheep.

Still, blew the cobwebs away nicely, and circulated the blood.

Splendid stuff.

More in 2016, and at some point the posts will get very canal-boaty indeed!

Chin-chin, IGH.

Great pictures Ian and I so agree about the garage. Looking forward to news on the canal boaty stuff especially on the journey from where you are now, to getting close to home.
    Happy New Year

In fact, we can’t say that in Welsh because we have no ‘j’ in our alphabet (nor ‘k’).

That is a good bridge repair, but it never will blend in because the new bricks are ordinary ones and the original would have been much harder and ‘blue’. I live very near several bridges of blue brick and very fine they are, too.

Have a spiffing new year, old bean and enjoy the boating; I am really looking forward to reading about that. Do you need to swim? I thought the canals are rather shallow.

    1. Most of the canals are shallow, but the problem is that I’m only two foot six tall… 😉 Happy New Year to you and yours too!

    1. Cheers, Muskie! Happy New Great-Ape Year to you to, sir! I think the correct term for what I’ll be doing is “winging it and hoping not to make too much of a prat of himself”! 🙂
